What was once a beautiful collaborative experience between a few kids in a garage in Long Island changed. Over time, the creative space they thrived in grew smaller. Collaboration began to feel like confinement. So they stepped away from the noise, from the pressure, and from a dynamic that no longer felt true.
Mark O’Connell and Eddie Reyes, founding members of Taking Back Sunday and two of the original architects behind the platinum-selling album Tell All Your Friends and some of the most influential sounds of the early 2000s emo scene, are back to reclaim what was once lost.
This isn’t a reunion. It’s a rebirth.
ME. is a creative rebellion. It's a collective built around the power of genuine collaboration. Mark and Eddie have reclaimed their artistic freedom, embarking on an experimental journey featuring multiple vocalists and diverse artistic voices.

We’re opening up “OG,” one of the first tracks from ME., and we want to hear what you bring to it. Download the instrumental, add your vocals, and send it to hello@thebandme.com. We'll review the songs and make a decision that will be announced July 30, 2025.
The selected artist will come to Woodstock, NY to collaborate with us and record vocals for the album version.
This isn't just a casting call. It's a collaboration.
